About the Artist
Josh Roy is a muralist and painter based in Denver, Colorado — moving between the intimate scale of the canvas and the public scale of the wall. Bright, character-driven, and often psychedelic, with recurring themes of nature, cosmic wonder, and the creatures that live in between.
He works primarily in acrylic and aerosol, and a large part of his catalog is blacklight (UV) reactive — paintings that transform under ultraviolet light, revealing a second life after dark. Pieces range from small framed works to large canvases on wood and oval formats.
His murals have gone up for music venues, businesses, and private residences — including Denver, S Broadway, Sloan Lake, Miramar Theater, Mad Planet, Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Miramar Theater, Milwaukee, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Denver, Badger Bass Camp, Badger Fest — created with everything from extension ladders to full scaffolding, indoors and out.
His painting catalog spans 2017 to today, and he continues to take on new commissions.
